  12. SimJesse *should* run on any Mac (please let me know if you have one on which it won't).

  14. USER'S MANUAL:

  16. Run it.  Push buttons.
  17.  
  18. FEATURES:
  19.  
  20. (1)  Alert mode.
  21.  
  22. This is the mode which is active upon startup.  Jesse is letting you know he is ready to run, but needs you to press a button (see "User's Manual", above).  This mode may be reselected at any time by pressing the currently active button a second time.

  24. (2)  Simulation mode.
  25.  
  26. The living, beating, simulated heart of SimJesse 1.0.   Have the whole family gather 'round by candlelight to share this memorable experience.

  28. (3)  Percussion mode.
  29.  
  30. Jesse's little-known musical talent is showcased in this mode, which features improvisational "scat" singing against a background of richly textured rhythms.  Don't hold back if you feel like joining in!

  32. (4)  Mellow mode.
  33.  
  34. Also known as "programmer's mode", this mode was included to preserve the sanity of the programmer during development.  Provides a soothing pastoral interlude suitable for reference manual reading.

  36. (5)  Non-operational mode.

  38. In this mode, the program is not running on your computer.  You probably already have this mode implemented on your system.  Especially recommended for PowerBooks because of its extremely low power consumption.
